More information

The weather is not always beautiful, but this Oregon Scientific Design Weather Forecastis! This crystal ball, though it has more of a resemblance of a capsule, literally allows you to peek into the future. Well, just the weather’s really, since it won’t tell you next week’s winning lottery numbers. A quick glance at this stylishly shaped capsule and you know whether to wear your warm winter coat or your sweet leather jacket. A little sun, some clouds or a few raindrops will tell if the weather in the next 12 to 24 hours will be sunny, cloudy or rainy. We can’t make it much clearer than that. Besides the weather, the time is also displayed on the shiny black display. You won’t even have to set that yourself. The Oregon Scientific automatically receives the correct time through a radio connection. You won’t have to worry about time zones: with a button on the bottom, you can switch between English or European time. This all sounds fine up to now, but we have a feeling you’re not impressed yet. Okay, the BAR 210 looks great, and it probably does what it has to do just fine. But you feel there’s something missing, something you can’t put your finger on. Any ideas? No? It’s temperature! The BAR 210 can tell you through the use of an outdoor sensor if it’s flaming hot or freezing cold outside. You can make the temperature appear on the screen with a simple hand gesture. Without the use of any buttons. Just move your hand along the top of the weather light and the display will switch from clock to temperature. So take a look into your crystal ball every day now and predict your day with a sweep of your hand!
