Product information
Moon, planets, stars - with the Bresser Polaris-II 102/600 EQ3 refracting telescope, beginners can get a whole lot closer to the beauties of the universe.
The complete set comes with everything you need for marvelling at the night sky: the astronomical refracting telescope with 102 mm aperture and 600 mm focal length, the equatorial mount, the tripod and a wide range of accessories for exciting astronomical observations.
Versatile astronomical observations
Explore the fascinating surface of the moon and marvel at the sight of the planets. But there's more, because the beginner's telescope shows you star clusters, planets, suns, landscapes and gas nebulae in the deep-sky range. Operation is child's play.
Impressive images
Easy handling and impressive images: As an uncomplicated achromatic refractor of the Fraunhofer type, this classic refracting telescope is the perfect first telescope for beginners and children. Thanks to the modern, precisely coated optics, it scores points not only for its ease of use but also for its good imaging properties.
All-rounder telescope for all celestial objects
The 102 mm aperture already collects a lot of light from celestial objects. In addition, 102 mm aperture and 600 mm focal length result in an average focal ratio (ratio of aperture to focal length) of about 1 to 6 (F/6).It is precisely this average focal ratio that makes this beginner's telescope an all-rounder for all celestial objects, allowing you to observe interesting details on the moon and planets at high magnifications. Or select a medium to low magnification and marvel at the sight of open star clusters such as the Pleiades, globular star clusters such as M13 or gas nebulae such as the Orion Nebula M42.
A solid basis for sky exploration - mount and tripod
Have you found the perfect viewing location? Then set up the telescope on the height-adjustable aluminium tripod with equatorial mount. The advantage of equatorial mounts: Unlike the azimuthal mount, both axes do not have to be moved simultaneously. Instead, one axis is simply aligned parallel to the earth's axis at the beginning. With this so-called ''polar alignment'', you align this axis approximately with the Pole Star. The result: The movement of the celestial bodies can be equalised on this one axis.
Perfect accessories for beginners
The astronomy set contains lots of accessories so that you can immediately set off on your discovery tour of the night sky. For example, you can use the LED finder to precisely align your beginner's telescope and find celestial objects more easily. To do this, simply install the direction finder in parallel on your telescope. It projects a red dot onto a small ground-glass disc, which appears to float in front of the sky when you look through it - in exactly the same direction as the aperture of your telescope. This makes it easy to keep an overview of the night sky. Two eyepieces (20 mm, 4 mm) are included so that you can marvel at the celestial bodies at two different magnifications. And if that's not enough for you? Then simply triple the magnification of the eyepieces with the 3x Barlow lens. And if you ever want a change of perspective during your astronomical observations, the standard 31.7 mm (1.25 inch) barrel diameter gives you a large selection of additional eyepieces to choose from.
Comfortable observation at the zenith
The 90-degree zenith mirror, on the other hand, provides more comfort and a convenient view. Even if your beginner's telescope is pointed vertically upwards, you can simply look into the telescope from the side without having to turn your head.
