Tweeter

To develop the Polk Legend Series' new Pinnacle ring-radiator tweeter, we took into consideration everything we have learned over the past 40 years in terms of innovation, design and prototyping. Developed by Polk Audio, the tweeter delivers crisp clear highs without discolouration or distortion.

The Pinnacle tweeter features a carefully tuned waveguide that provides better dispersion of high-frequency energy and a wide sweet spot. The damped back chamber helps to avoid unwanted resonances.

Turbine cone

Polk's new Turbine cone has been specially developed for our industry-leading products and delivers natural midrange reproduction. This is the best audible frequency range for our ears. The Turbine cone features Polk's proprietary foam inside and moulded turbine geometry to significantly improve stiffness and damping without adding mass. This ensures a smooth, detailed midrange and powerful bass sound. No detail will pass you by.

X-Port

The Reserve R400 has two X-Ports, with a set of closed-pipe resonators called Eigentone filters tuned to trap unwanted resonances from the port and enclosure. This gives you a pure, unadulterated, crystal-clear sound and more bass output.

Cabinetwork

Reserve's sleek cabinets hide a world of audio engineering innovation. The cabinets are carefully crossed to eliminate unwanted internal resonances. Rounded corners on the outside ensure wide dispersion of sound in the room with minimal diffraction, resulting in an open soundstage.
